AC Shadows Reveals Surprising Attack on Titan Event for Thanksgiving

In a surprising partnership that breaks traditional expectations, the game developer has revealed an in-game collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, including complimentary extra story content for Shadows players.

Strange Questline Uncovered

According to the official release, "A strange confrontation leads heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh quest, where whispers of forbidden practices and fearsome transformations reverberate through the obscurity." The plot presents a "strangely dressed woman named Ada" who assigns the duo with traveling into the Gemstone Grotto—a key location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her ally from a hidden sect.

The mission centers on "strange experiments and a fearsome enemy" and is open to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Recognizable Settings and Transformations

The trailer features the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was previously where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The preview ends with a dramatic moment showing a character, likely the prisoner, transforming into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Items and Extra Material

Players who accomplish the mission will obtain an special katana in addition to several objects concealed throughout the area in secret chests. The update also includes premium Attack on Titan item packs, including:

This patch also introduces the game's newest no-cost story episode, titled "The Enigma."
