Amazing $30 Map-Making Humble Bundle Is a Virtual Tabletop Game Master's Fantasy

Following a short availability back in April, the Map Making Mega Bundle is back with an encore that lasts until Dec. 2. Described as a "treasure trove of assets and apps" created by ProFantasy Software over the years, the entire collection is valued at more than thirteen hundred dollars. Additionally, there exist three different bundles offered in this deal.

Primary Feature

The standout feature is certainly a lifetime license to the CC3+ software, an industry-standard mapping application which enables users to create everything from fantasy overworld maps, smaller regional maps, urban layouts, and, perhaps most importantly, dungeon and tabletop battle maps.

An imaginative landscape chart created using Campaign Cartographer 3+.

Package Levels

Entry Level

The most affordable option, at a minimum cost of $1, features merely four from the thirty-nine available products: Fantasy Overland Symbol Collection, Token Treasury: Monsters 1, Source Maps: Castles!, and Source Maps: Cities!. This package suits cartographers who already have CC3+, yet it provides new fantasy symbol styles for overworld maps, over seven hundred fifty creature tokens compatible with online gaming platforms, over twenty-five aerial castle designs including hundreds of map markers, eight complete urban centers, and more than 70 urban floorplans.

Mid-Range Option

The eight-item bundle for at least $15 offers enhanced value by adding in a lifetime CC3+ license, the first Annual volume, Tome of Ultimate Mapping, and Symbol Set 6: Isometric Cities. The Annual represents the annual collection from the company's long-running monthly subscription service featuring a variety CC3+ add-ons like map collections and additional utilities. Isometric Cities lets you present urban areas in 3D perspective using angled views from all sides. Meanwhile, the Mapping Tome is a 760-page suitable for novices and experts, packed with guidance and instructions for the map-making process.

Complete Collection

For a minimum of $30, the comprehensive package contains these components:

  • Fractal Terrains 3+
  • Dungeon Designer 3
  • City Designer 3
  • Cosmic Mapping System
  • Perspectives 3
  • Dioramas 3
  • Character Artist 3
  • Symbol Set 2: Fantasy Floorplans
  • Symbol Set 3: Modern
  • Symbol Set 4: Dungeons of Schley
  • Schley Urban Pack
  • Token Treasury: Monsters 2
  • Source Maps: Temples, Tombs and Catacombs
  • World War 2 Interactive Atlas
  • World Builder’s Compendium
  • Annual Volumes 1-17
  • Campaign Cartographer 3+ (Lifetime License)
  • 3D City Symbols
  • Comprehensive Mapping Guide
  • Fantasy Landscape Symbols
  • Monster Token Set 1
  • Source Maps: Castles!
  • Metropolitan Source Maps

All 17 volumes from the Annual series are included here, plus numerous other resource and asset packs that can help users design entire planets or galaxies, or focus exclusively on classic fantasy realm creation: combat arenas, dungeons, cities, and continents from almost any perspective. You can even design character portraits. For $30 as opposed to $15, the full bundle offers tremendous value, especially for cartographers with temporary CC3+ access and want to upgrade to lifetime. However, it's clearly an even better deal for map-making newbies considering you even get the beginners' tutorials to help you get started. The sole limitation is that while the purchase is available across platforms, the applications only function on Windows.

Charitable Component

As with other Humble Bundles, a portion of each sale supports charitable organizations. In this instance, the beneficiary is Save the Children, established in 1919 by Eglantyne Jebb focused on improving the lives of children worldwide through education, health care, and emergency relief. Package customization options appear near the page top, though users may also choose any amount for a donation on the right side of the page. There's also an donation allocation menu immediately below, enabling adjustment of the distribution percentage allocated between the platform, developer, and charity.
